Scott Poris

Director of Information Technology

Mr. Scott Poris is the Information Technology Director of Omni Training Solutions (OTS), a global "Turn-Key" company specializing in solutions for training, Information Technology, and strategic security development for Government agencies and commercial organizations.

Previously, Mr. Poris was the Knowledge and Information Manager for the War Fighter FOCUS (WFF) contract in Iraq with Raytheon Technical Services Company and L3/MPRI-Engility.  He was recognized as a pioneer in his field of expertise, which integrated cutting edge technology in a robust collaboration and data retrieval system.  He was charged with overseeing all knowledge and information management systems, processes, technology and IT personnel throughout the entire organization.  Additionally, he was often tasked with Operations and Project Management duties to execute and ensure all contractual obligations and requirements were met within scope and parameters.  Prior to his groundbreaking work in the information technology field, he began his contracting career in 2005 as the Air Force Security Assistance Training Team Chief in Kiev, Ukraine.  While there, he employed the latest training design and development techniques to help transition the Ukrainian military from a conscript service to an all-volunteer force.  This included the creation and implementation of over 15 full programs of instruction, incorporating over 75 lesson plans, evaluation tools, and feedback instruments.

Mr. Poris brings a diverse skill set and business acumen to Omni Training Solutions.  He acquired and continuously enhanced his varied talents during his 20 years in the U.S. Air Force.  Prior to his retirement in 2004, he served in the following capacities:

Ø  Chief of Academics for the Defense Language Institute (Monterey, CA)

Ø  Adversary Tactics Analysis Team Chief (Ramstein AB, Germany)

Ø  Training Team Chief (San Antonio, TX and Honolulu, HI)

Ø  Airborne C4ISR Operations and Management (Okinawa, Japan)

Mr. Poris is a vastly experienced Knowledge, Project, Operations, and Training Manager, incorporating almost 30 years of front line management, supervision, leadership, teambuilding, training, mentoring, and project administration. His critical thinking, complex problem solving, profound judgment and sound decision-making have set him apart from his peers.  He is always seeking opportunities to improve and streamline business processes by imparting his invaluable knowledge, versatile skills and distinctive abilities to your labor force and work space.

Mr. Poris is married to his wife of 20 years – Mia, whom he met while serving in Hawaii.  They currently reside in Ormond Beach, Florida, and have a strong passion for golf.
